Lost music of the forestA Poem by SorenDon't believe in spirits, angels, gods or ghosts, but won't deny what I see or hear I perceive that near it a tree nods, heavenly hosts singing so clearly in my ear Walking toward it the sound diminished, fading off into only creaking trees What had soared I found finished, evading fervent seeking, a harmonious tease in the breeze If not the forest in a chorus, what could be this hymn so fervently sung Only open field before us, but would a limb sing with heavenly tongue Once again returned to the spot, where I had heard refrain before And then discerned a note caught, in air its sad word again did soar
