This poem cuts like sunlight through storm clouds- beautiful, sharp, and impossible to ignore. The imagery twists love and guilt into a haunting dance, where roses and doves carry the weight of consequence. It’s brutal, tender, and unflinching all at once, a reminder that even the smallest gestures can echo in eternity.

Thank you James for such a beautiful and poetic review it is most gratefully received
Soren, this poem stayed with me. The rose in glass, the dove, the stolen kiss..they linger, uneasy and precise. You capture how desire and affection can imprison, harm, and unravel trust. It’s stark, unsettling, but in that tension, there’s a kind of truth that resonates. Thank you for sharing this uncompromising reflection.

It is in that moment of recognition that hell resides. Appreciate your comment my friend.
This little poem Soren speaks to me about the devastation of broken trust. Has turned many a lovely rose into a wilted flower. So many casualties in the garden of love. What once was love in bloom, now in abysmal decay.
