Spinoza's god

Spinoza's god

A Poem by Soren

Held in your arms of descending rays, in golden glow of sleeping days
Wrapped in a dark blanket of night, awaiting your coming with morning light
I feel your kiss in the breeze, hear your soft voice in the rustling trees
Your footsteps in each lapping wave, joined from their birth to crashing grave
As each wave falls another begins, raising and falling as perpetual twins
All a part of the same sea, separate but one in their unity
We're in the leaves, every drop in the sea, I am you, you are me
Time has no meaning we have always been and will always be
I'm in the air you breath, in each child you did conceive
We are light, we are the sun, in the stars, in everyone

Your lines here Soren are beautiful in their imagery but also feel like a warm embrace on a cold day. Everything to like. Very much enjoyed the references to the natural world. All is well with the universe. Lovely.

This reads like a luminous exploration of unity and interconnectedness. I love how you thread the natural world with human intimacy..the waves, leaves, and stars become both literal and metaphorical extensions of love and existence. The sense of oneness, especially in lines like ‘I am you, you are me,’ conveys a Spinozist vision beautifully, where individual and cosmos blur into a shared divinity. There’s a gentle, almost devotional rhythm here that invites the reader to both reflect and breathe with the universe itself.

Soren, this is stunning. You've bottled the pure, serene concept of unity and made it feel like an actual physical space.
The way you describe the waves as "perpetual twins" that are "separate but one in their unity" is the ultimate geographical coordinate for love. It’s beautiful.
Great work.
