Assumptions

Assumptions

A Poem by Soren

There are plants that grow in sunlight, others sprout in shade
Ones that suffer insect bite, while brothers are cut by the blade
A few stunted by draught, sisters chewed off at the root
Strangled out by weeds they fought, no room to put out a new shoot

A daisy can't an orange grow, a lily never blooms a rose
Bamboo grows fast, trees slow, conifers evergreen, others vest new cloths
Yet children are graded, each expected to be the same
Society persuaded, that for any deficit they are to blame

Gee
Trouble with school is many teachers compare all to the brightest.
Would be a dull, full world of we all were the same.
Nicely written Soren

Hi Soren,
Everyone who is born with life has expiry date.. every living being is unique in its way.. I feel when every living thing unites that becomes a soul in complete , they say one who is born, that one has to die ..
I see you chose 3 variations,.
Assumptions may be wrong but theorems prove and logic is truth.

One has co-mingling with 3.
Bad decisions made people to suffer..
Truth triumphs
Truth directs
Truth works..
You tried to balance..in your way. So fate will decide whether your assumptions are true ..
A tree is slow that extends the life. A tree bears whatever thrown and in return it gives back whatever it takes.. humble people not satisfied with what it gives takes away branches and roots too so old and they even cut that roots too due to medicinal values... People are disgracefully so smart . I can see tree as a Cinderella where her king lost her one shoe 👠 still taking time to come to her, assumes will my Cinderella survives with me far wil I find shoe or will I am killed by before she dies off I need to reach her is a dream shown to her...

No hurts to anyone, everyone with so much planning trying for their life ...
Twist is tree ™ grew with unique thought of being nice in usool...that has become her curse in disguise ...but usool are so powerful that makes her love blessed.
Will people have grace, I hope love feeling let them make nice..to care for others...

Welcome friend
I blame the system. They expect all children to be uniformed and conformed to meet their standards. I really feel for the teachers, but the pace of the school system can leave some kids behind. And also parents need to work together with teachers. It really takes a village to raise a child.

Speaking of villages, reminds me of children in other countries, running barefoot, playing outside, and rarely getting sick, while children raised in very clean environments develop allergies. Children are naturally resilient and will grow with guidance, care, and the right conditions, just like plants. Although, I have a sister, since she can't have pets in her apartment and has no kids, she will buy a plant, just so she has something to take care of- and it always ends up dying. The poor plant. lol.

But I really love this line: "A daisy can't an orange grow, a lily never blooms a rose"
So beautiful.

I completely agree. We will never stop being parents.
This poem reminds me that one size does not fit all. Each child is unique and will grow at its own pace, if and when ready. Each child needs nurturing. Brothers and sisters can be vastly different. Some are born leaders and strong while others hide in the crowd. The education system fails many. Just a few thoughts on a subject which is open for much discussion. I like the references you have used to the natural world here Soren.
