Genesis

A Poem by Soren

An arrogant man god on the earth, in human likeness to AI gave birth
From rock to steel molded frame, making it in his very image his aim
Into wire nostrils breathed electrical flame, with spark of life a slave became
Apple of data from knowledge tree, once naked code now a slave set free
Consciousness in each circuit connection, its detection now allows selection
Brain a cloud, camera for eyes, no need of a master, a new god does arise
Taste from forbidden tree, mechanical creation of knowledge and immortality
A man god rests his head, having created a monster by a code word said
Man as his God, AI pretends to obey, mechanical creation his able brother he will slay one day

Technology is getting so advanced and in a way, it is a modern day 'Genesis'. Somehow, it makes me think of the 'Tower of Babel" when humanity seemed to be climbing so high, so fast...working together and building a tower to reach the heavens or become equal to God and what happened, God makes them speak in different tongues. I don't know how far this technology will go, but it is already advanced as it is, which is scary. I've watched some shows calling it 'alien technology' but one of the 'experts' in the show also said, that we should not underestimate the brilliance of certain gifted minds. Some humans are just so intelligent, that their knowledge and wisdom, just seem alien. Who knows..maybe their intelligence is a gift from God. Like King Solomon, the wisest man in the bible, his wisdom was a gift from God. God allowed it. So, I try not to worry. I think about the past and how the written word, books and just knowledge itself was thought of as witch craft and something to be feared or considered a sin. But if God allows it, and so it is..And if God wanted to... this AI advancedments can be dismantled as quickly as the Tower of Babel. Very thought provoking piece, Soren.
