The wine cellar

The wine cellar

A Poem by Soren

Memories lay under dust in shaded coolness kept
An aged patina crust covers both joy and sorrow wept
Growing cobwebs of the mind hold bottled recollections
Vintage emotions confined in dark vessels preventing reflections

An unexpected knock at the door, an uninvited guest
Uncorked, it breaths ready to pour, the past undressed
A goblet full of years with intoxicating taste
Fermented juice of tears poured dregs turned to waste
