Sleep

A drowsy fog covers a lazy sun's eye

that dreams in dim shadows of a closed sky

Rolling rain paints in transparent tears of pain

nature's slumber, that upon awakening leaves no stain

Through rents in frayed sheets that it is shedding

dingy clouds make up its soiled bedding

Cover's tattered, wrinkles part, torn clouds fall away

revealing the bare skin of a naked arising day
