Aisle twenty four

Aisle twenty four

A Poem by Soren

Big old store, aisles galore things as far as you can see
So I asked the clerk, who's kind of a jerk if he could find something for me
You got what I like since I was a tyke, I know you know what I mean
I got one last year so I find it real queer that there is none to be seen
What's it called he drawled, as his lip he began to chew
A whatchamacallit, if you got it but a whatchamagoogy will do
He scratched his head and started to turn red, no I said what's its name
A thingamabob, he started to sob so I said a deelybopper's the same
Give me a doohickey I ain't picky, a horse is a horse by any other name I fear
Another name, doodad would be the same, surely ya got one round here
Some call it a whatnot, no not a cumquat, don't see it, that's queer
He started to shake and a fist to make, he was trembling it was quite clear
Don't ya speak English why can't ya distinguish what I'm asking for
Sorry I didn't hear, your words weren't clear, you say its on aisle twenty four
