Birds

Birds

A Poem by Soren

Seen only as flesh, man's strength to refresh, plumed fields to thresh, we harvest their creche
Brain size of a pea but smart as we, with murderous decree we butchered the avarie
Long before man was around no longer bound to the ground with feathers the sky they found
For heaven we search while they sit in lofty perch of pine or birch while we in a ground bound church

Welcome friend
Birds may have the brain of a pea, but they are smart creatures... and splendid creatures, not meant to be slaughtered....they are a part of our universe and should be treated with respect....they fly through the sky with grace and ease and probably were here long before us!
Thanks for sharing Soren

My pleasure!

Birds are beautiful creatures sometimes I question the morality of having them as pets. Its quite sad to see such an innocent animal in a cage when its meant to sore the skies. Overall solid piece, Keep writing!
