Did you know it's all true

Did you know it's all true

A Poem by Soren

Flowers listening to music of bees, roots hearing ground notes that swell
There are clicking languages in trees, their stress to other plants they tell
Weeds with their vine tips smell, while other plants they hunt as slaves
An eye in each cell sees light in all its colors, taking in infrared waves
They have life long memories and know their position in space
With a rootlike web each talks to its neighbors, trading food in charitable grace

Author's Note

Soren
No one would think of eating a human being, that would make you a felon
But not a second thought to eating a bean or enjoying a watermelon
Some will not touch meat but don't think twice of a plant to eat
What is intelligent life and what do we choose to eat has been changing over the years. New technology has made us more aware that other life forms are no less intelligent than us just different. What is right and what is wrong to eat.
