What we hold inside

What we hold inside

A Poem by Soren

Raw emotion pours as honey flowing quicker under heat of sun
Its sweet, burns when hot, sticking to skin, scalding within when done
Cooled it is sealed in wax, future fuel fiercely protected in hive hidden
To be taken by only friend with out sting, all others access forbidden

Hiii Soreennn,

Ahhhh who can contain the vastness of emotions. Its like trying to grasp for the wind. But I like how you relate emotions with honey. Gave me a different perspective on things.

A wise observation nicely rhymed here. Raw emotion, especially in the youthful, can be the source of enthusiasm, but can manipulated by sinister sources. Think Nazi brownshirts. Given time to simmer, however, that emotion can be used to make wise choices. Think gut feeling.
