And it rained

And it rained

A Poem by Soren

The grey of a new day, clouds hang as shrouds
And it rains
Billowing bellies full, vast piles of dingy wool
And it rains
Rivers overflow their banks, rivulet armies attack their flanks
And it rains
Invading forces fill fields, leaf shield to droplet shell soon yields
And it rains
Surrounded on all sides, hope buried under mud hides
And it rains
Darkness is settling in, God where have you been
And it rains

Love the alliteration...repitition of sounds that fits with the repetition we hear
from a certain leader...Full of "dingy wool"---
sorry, my mind is just preoccupied with politics....they hang over me..."as shrouds" as you put it.
