Misty eye

Misty eye

A Poem by Soren

Clouds close an ash colored, velvet, coffin lid sky, sealing in dewdrop tears, locking out echoes of hope
The casket lined in rumpled green grass felt, where faded tears moist memories melt in smoke of dope
Darkness descends with shadow arms, embracing a past turned gray
Approaching night bends low kissing cold lips of a departed day
