Fragile

Fragile

A Poem by Soren

With an anchor of mass chained to an ankle of glass we are a prisoner of the world you see
It's the lead in our a*s that doesn't let us pass light's velocity
It's our girth that ties us to earth and doesn't let us flee
Two places at once we can't be in our hunts for immortality
By entropy strangled we are entangled no matter how far
Though we evolve we dissolve as we reach the farthest star

Indeed, the flesh is weak. It's our bodies and the parts of our minds that identify with them that make the quest for immortality such a difficulty. You mention evolution in the last line. Eventually, that may lead us to our immortality. Don't look for it tomorrow, though.
