Miricale

A Poem by Soren

Trees eternal gods, solidified star light, armed defenders dissolving stress they thin your blood, wooden proximity preventing clots, leaving you warm feet without emitting heat
Its food air, chewing it with stomata, solidified wind, crystallized atmosphere
A tree built of gas
Nomads walking over ground leaving no foot prints while chasing the sun
Its skin a tattooed scroll of wisdom lost
Compassionate roots, a network that knows its family, entwined aid
Its language unheeded no tongue needed
Time a chronograph of measured rings
With a wooden ledger, it is an honest banker repaying all debts in liquid star light
Leaves of poison to threats
Grandeur broken by the force of gravity
Its breath a gift of life

Author's Note

Soren
Beneath the surface, tree roots form a symbiotic relationship with mycorrhizal fungi, creating a vast and intricate network that connects botanic creatures in a woodland community. Through this hidden web of life, trees exchange essential nutrients, such as carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorus
Native to the rainforests of Central and South America, the walking palm has a unique ability to move its roots, giving it the appearance of ‘walking’ over time.
When we immerse ourselves in natural environments with trees, our bodies tend to produce lower levels of stress hormones, such as cortisol.
