A Poem by Soren

I smoked all my memories, now burnt out in ash
I've spent all my dreams purchased with cash
I drank my love wildly from a cheap label
Sleeping off life's banquet under a coffin lid table

Some choose that way of life. Some people desire the fast lane, with all its risks, others prefer a more sedate and safe journey. A poem which leaves me feeling a sadness for the choice taken in this poem. Powerfully delivered. Always consequences for risk takers. Have a good day Soren.

This poem is short but powerful, dripping with regret and emptiness. Vivid images—smoked memories, bought dreams, cheap love—capture self-destruction and lost hope. The punchy rhythm makes each line hit hard. It’s raw, confessional, and haunting, leaving the reader with a lingering sense of sorrow and the weight of wasted life.
