Biblical metaphor

Biblical metaphor

A Poem by Soren

Nurtured in the garden's womb protected from all strife
A beating heart of god that breathed into you life
Born from a family tree, forbidden truth
Expelled naked into a cold world to spend your youth
Under the threat of coming death, hidden in a nest of reeds
Nurtured by mother nature, who to a princess concedes
Arc, basket or coffin all arise from a river of Styx as a rover
A maternal handmaiden even after wed she watches over
Nature's commandments written finger striations of stone
Held captive through childhood crossing parted seas, now grown
Cain's face is Able Osiris turned Sete good becomes beast
Sun hung on a cross of directions raises in the east

This one hits like wind off a river in early morning—sharp, cold, carrying everything that should have been gentle but wasn’t.
I love how the imagery is raw and unflinching: life’s cradle and crucible, nurturing and brutal all at once, leaving the reader both unsettled and awed.
