Helios

Helios

A Poem by Soren

The sun rests on bloody shrouds, a dying day done
To resurrect on mourning clouds, another fight begun
Ore mountains and valleys stretch your arms, embrace cold breast of earth
Warm willows and tear wet sallies whose shade casts doubt upon your birth
Helios lift your hero head that in stars inspires fright
Raise from your battle bed banishing with fires the dark of night
With your arrows of light pierce the sky, may the shadows hide
On your golden chariot fly with Chronos on your ride beside
Burst in blossom blooms of flame ignite the meadow's flower sparks
Disrobe nature, expose her naked shame, hidden clefts and rainbow arcs

Most welcome, Soren 🕊️🙏🏻
Vivid imagery here Soren in this battle between light and dark. Nature always reclaims what is hers eventually. The sun can destroy with fire but the plant life will return eventually. Lots to think about here in this powerful piece.
