Missed Connections

Have you every met that person you coulnt stop thinking about? This is a poem about this person.

I met her on the subway. 

It was barely more than a glance.

But when my eyes met hers,

It caused my soul to dance.

 

I felt our souls connected.

As I saw you and you saw me.

Gone were the fears of yesterday.

It was like you set me free.

 

And as you loosed me from my cage of despair.

I imprisoned you inside my thoughts.

For you are what I've needed.

To help me find the love I've lost.

 

Its amazing how a single person.

Can kindle that lost flame.

And as that flame is set ablaze.

You know you won't ever be the same.

 

So to the girl on the subway.

Though you may never know the truth.

I will say it anyway.

Beautiful subway girl " I love you."

Very sweet. I think we sometimes underestimate the effect a random person can have on us. We are like balls of energy bouncing off one another...however some energies have a need to stick with us...we wear their aura's on our skin.

I like this poem, well done, I would tweak it a bit and in the first stanza you are speaking as if to a third party relating a story, then for the rest of the poem you wrote as if confessing to the object of your desire... I am not sure if you meant that but that is the only thing that stood out as possibly needing revision. Otherwise this is really well done!
