I had to (*read: WANTED to) read this twice before I reviewed (and will, most likely, read it several more times throughout). I truly like how you were able to capture the not-so-quiet desperation and longing for the subject from the voice. Even if this has no basis in your real life, it has a very real feel to it which is instantly relatable to anyone who reads it.
Unfortunately, the downside to this is (IRL, anyway) that sometimes the subject will tell the voice what it wants to hear in the interest of taking advantage. Still this is an excellent piece. Thank you for sharing!!
