Journey To The East

Journey To The East

A Story by Steve Paschall
"

On My first Trip To Frisco

"

It was February.  I had left Virginia for San Francisco in the midst of the worst ice storms I had ever seen.  Now, it's 70 degrees and I'm kind of ecstatic about that.  One day as I approached the corner of Haight and Clayton, there was a 3 or 4 foot pile of crushed ice

only it was crushed so fine that I could make a snowball.  First, I hit the next windshield

that came down the street.  The driver wasn't amused but I just had to  throw another

snowball.  As I was firming up the snowball, a woman I was attracted to walked by with a

short, balding, long haired professor looking cat wearing John Lennon glasses and army

fatigues.  Once they got past a ways, I let my snowball fly and hit him square in his back.

Right in the center of the peace sign on the back of his army jacket.

I stood still, just a little scared waiting to see what the repercussions would be.

He turned slowly, looked me square in the eye, raised his right arm,

and flashed me the Peace Sign.

I named him the "Mad Peace Keeper."

This was a pretty funny story. My only critique is that there seems to be too much space between the end of each sentence and the beginning of the next one. Good job on the story!
