Bed Of RosesA Poem by SpiritFingersJust a small tribute to a small constant in my life.
I fall asleep
in the same bed every night for the last ten years I have cried, laughed, bled, and slept in this bed I'm sure it has a smell By now, I'm sure it has a soul The bed creaks, but it never breathes a word It knows my secrets It carries them like it carries my curves, my weight, and my mind But the damn thing is old and I wake up aching which just goes to show: the more you love a thing, the more it hurts you. © 2014 SpiritFingers |
