Carl Larsson: Apple Blossom 1894A Poem by Scoutjust a poem I wrote about his painting. total assumptions tho, i have no idea what this picture really is depicting prolly just a very sweet, happy girl in a beautiful garden. Her pink bonnet barley covering her blonde curls That green dress she always wears The dreary house behind her where her family resides Though she is too young to understand much She knows that what her parents do to her is bad that she deserves love and compassion Her only escape is at meal times where she sneaks off to the garden It's full of thistles and weeds but that is no matter to her she finds joy in imagining the thistles and weeds away she invisions an apple blossom and green green grass This was her heaven, her happiness She found so much delight in examining every bit of nature and feeling the wind in her hair Hearing the noisy birds and watching the slowness of a snail making its way across the garden Perhaps God gave her this one joy in her life because everytime she had to returne to that abusive house she had strngeth to go on just because she looked forward to that little piece of heaven her only piece of heaven
