The life I could of had

If I had only cared more

I ruined everything

I did love him once

and my heart was constant

eventually he loved me too

and it was bliss

but of course I did something

to ruin it all

He tried to hold on

to me

but like sand I fell

through his hands

and then all he wanted

was to be my friend

but of course I ignored him

Now all I can think

about is what I've lost

how it was my own doing

I can't win him back

and of course after all

these years all I can

dream of his him
