Something I have written about the struggles in my marriage.

Don't close your eyes, I want you to see
How I fade with the distance between you and me.
My heart is breaking, my smile is gone,
Each moment it is harder to continue on.
I want you to see me, I want you to know
The deep pain I would feel if you ever let go.
Please accept me for who I am now
And let yourself love me again, somehow.
If only you could turn a smile my way
I could show you the reasons I want you to stay.
Just open you r eyes, look once more
And try to see the woman you were once longing for.

Heartwrenching write. Fear most of us have been there, or will be. Sad but beautiful verse, and hope all is well.
