Wings

Wings

A Poem by Starla

She spread her wings

just as easily as w***e legs

new beginnings, this lady begs

red stained cherry smear

wrapped around your neck

moving down, blood blotted stitches

the evil in her

the worry, left behind

like a silent film, on rewind

her mind an ocean, for all the creatures she meets

hoping forever her star heart will beat

this isn’t enough to break her

as her wings grow wider

you can’t even imagine what thoughts are inside her

still, her wings speeding heavily to moon flight

and off to the night.
