Joseph Pharoah, takes his wealth of experience and heads to Hollywood

As a member of Equity (formerly known as British Actor’s Equity Organization), Joseph Pharoah helps shape a cultural community in the acting world as part of the United Kingdom’s oldest and most prestigious acting organizations. He is most recently recognized for his work as Lewis (as Joe Pharoah) in the 2014 crime short A Friend of Ours, but is also known for his work in Solito (2013) and Just Visiting (2012). As an actor Joseph has been acting for over six years, and works as a model and dancer when the performance requirements call for it. He is capable of performing many styles of dance, including: body popping, locking, and break-dancing; a set of skills which awarded him the opportunity to work alongside Russell Brand in the 2012 London Closing Ceremony of the Olympics. In addition to performance, Joseph runs his own promotions company which aids his fellow actors, dancers, and models in the allocation of various gigs and jobs.

Clearly the man is as tenacious as he is creative, and with a curriculum vitae which holds nearly twenty different credits it’s difficult to see Joseph as anything other than an acting tour-de-force. His most recent film, A Friend of Ours has been entered in one of Sydney, Australia’s major film festivals, and with the combination of Pharoah and director/writer Joey Jameson it is sure to be a stunner. What makes Joseph’s acting so powerful, aside from his natural talent and fervor, is his time spent training one on one with Kiss of the Dragon’s John Forgeham (Max) and time spent at The London Academy of Film, Media, and Television. His skills include a variety of accents: British (London/Liverpool), American Standard, and Australian; stage combat, comedy, climbing, pool, and weight training. He is currently working on completing a script which will serve as his directorial debut and be filmed in London and Munich, and which will eventually be submitted to the Berlin Film Festival, all other information is being withheld to tantalize fans and build up some suspense for its inevitable release.
