Writing Prompt: Late for the Bus

Dialogue Only, Please: Flex the writing muscles in your brain by writing a short story that ONLY uses dialogue.

 

“Do you have the time?”

“Sorry, no watch.”

“No phone?”

“Well, yeah, I do.”

“So what time is it?”

“Dude!  I’m busy chatting with someone.”

“Can’t you just give me the time?”

“In a few.”

“Well, it’s been a few.”

“I’m not done with my call.”

“Okay.”

“I really need the time.”

“Oh, brother.”

“Sorry to be a pain.”

“It’s 5:30.”

“Oh jeez.  I just missed the bus.”

“Yeah.  See ya later.”
