Call Lights

Call Lights

A Poem by A Soapy Mess Stories
"

Just a day in the life of a CNA...

"
Cherish the patient
Who's rarely on their light
Happy to do whatever they request
But the patient who's constantly on theirs
Grudgingly answering their light
Because the patient thinks
You're their personal maid
At their beck and call
To do whatever they wish
Making sure they have what they need
Before you move on to other patients
As you ask 'Is there anything else you need?'
And they reply 'No, I'm good."
But once you leave their room
The call light is on again
You suck it up and head back in
Playing an endless game of
Call-light happiness!!!!
