Chapter 8

Tristana was feeling better day by day, especially since Justin seemed to be true to his word that Cristoff wouldn't find her.

She and Justin even managed to spend the day out in the wilderness as they took a hike and had a picnic lunch together.

Tristana enjoyed it out here with Justin. She never wanted to go back to her other world as Cristoff's wife. But Cristoff must be looking for her?

Back at the Rodriguez Wolf Pack headquarters, Cristoff was in a mood after another phone call from police telling him that he should just report Tristana missing. Cristoff even went off on his Beta officer, Hardy, when he reported for his next assignment.

"What do you mean, your next assignment?!" Cristoff said harshly. "You're an imbecile! You had one duty! To find my wife and you failed!"

Hardy looked down at the floor, unable to face his Alpha leader.

"I should fire you as my Beta, but I won’t! You have one more chance to find my wife!" Cristoff told him.

"Yes, sir!" Hardy, the Beta officer said, before rushing off. He intended to find Tristana, if it was the last thing he did.
