You said you loved me
And I, I believed it
I felt it deep within my soul
But it can not be love
Can not, Will not
Because I am not whole
You said you wanted me
And again I believed it
I felt it in my bones
But it can not be love
Can not, Will not
Because I am as stone
I said I love you
And still I believe it
My heart does not lie
But it can not be love
Can not, Will not
Because I am afraid to try
I said I want you
And, oh, I believe it
This body aches with need
But it can not be love
Can not, Will not
Because my spririt is not free.
