I get nostalgia for the good old days
For years past
Ones I don’t even remember
Shifting untouchables built on
A life gone by
That I haven’t lived
That I’ve longed to be part of
For the difference
The peaceful

That seem to romance
To charm
To create a story
Of comfort
Excitement
And home
I get a thrill from movies
And music
Not too old
But bring out the child
That maybe did live those tunes
In a minute that my brain’s
Pushed to the back
But crawls out
Dances out
When the switch is flipped
The volume’s turned up
And my mind is triggered back
To a dance
A viewing
A life I’ve never experienced
