Anguish

This is a poem about the heartache of having a part-time father.

I try to reach out to you

But you have hidden yourself away

Where will you go?

Between here

and the land of gray

The wall that separates us

Is from here to the sky

Why must you leave me in anguish

Why must you leave my soul to

die?

Why don't you love me, dad?
