The Topography Between Me & You

The Topography Between Me & You

A Poem by Stephanie W.

Meandering Through Bohemia
With a Pocket Full of Stones
And Toasting to Your Memory
With Some Muddy H20
Your Mirage, It Calls Me Home
With the Poison Promise
Of Some Short Lived Nastalgia
And a Quiet Place to Rest our Bones
And Dance in the Snow
Toe to Toe, Nose to Nose
Dropping Leaves From All Our Seasons
I See the Thousands of X's and O's
We've Collected Through the Years
Rallying to and fro Through Telephone Poles
I Confused Every Snake in the Grass for You.
You're a Pile of Fossils.
You're a Heart of Stone.
