Just be

Just be

A Poem by Stephany
"

I wrote after I finished walking the Camino. I was sitting in the beach in Biarritz Please open the picture as it inspired this writing

"
Red is the color of the water shared by the setting sun
Nature breathes, creating ripples that dance as the water gently searches to rest on the shore

It’s not heard, but the sound is there. The wings of the birds flutter as they search for the warm updraft, before they settle for the evening.

Footsteps trace the path of two people finding their way, letting the warmth of the sand soothe them

Hands slipped together, and deep exhales create layers of peace

Close your eyes and just be

This one exudes peace. It is something one would like to read to counter the stresses of the day. Beautiful use of imagery here.

Truly a compliment!!
I appreciate it and you
Hmmmm,

This is a refreshing read. Very tranquil.

I feel taken away to a beautiful, crisp vacation where I can feel at ease and put my mind at rest.

Peaceful, enlightening and heart-warming.

Thanks Rosie, it was all that and more
Thanks for sharing this peaceful, and meditative poem about mindfulness...:)

You take the reader on a journey here.....appreciating the view along the way....

I liked these lines:

Footsteps trace the path of two people finding their way, letting the warmth of the sand soothe them
Hands slipped together, and deep exhales create layers of peace

Thank you Dan!! I appreciate your comment. The red was so striking that evening! Hoping you find warmer weather!

You open the poem perfectly with that vivid image of the red colored water being shared with the setting sun (love the contrast instead of saying blue, btw).

Now this makes me wish I was on holiday on some tropical beach somewhere, not freezing my behind off in Manchester haha.

Well penned :)

An excellent description of those sunsetting holiday moments that we used to call Kodak moments. But I totally get the sounds that are there but not. I find that even wind running through leaves sound different when you are in more exotic and warmer climes. And when that big yellow skyball of fire dips its toes into the sea to cool to a glowing red of an evening plays havoc with your senses and makes everything smell and taste better.
For example, that sangria which was lovely of an evening turns to vinegar if you bring some of it home and if you try tracking down your favourite holiday wine you find the same, that it should have stayed where it buddy well was!
But at least it goes to prove that the often told five senses we have is a myth. Why are a sense of hunger, or danger or even anticipation not allowed. All I know is scientists now agree but not on the number. Some say we have 23 senses and others argue there's 31. Which just goes to show that scientists love a good argument! 😀
