Never Think.

Never Think.

A Chapter by Stephanie Jones

We danced together, for what seemed an hour, until the band decided it was late and they were to play the last song. It was Never Think, by Robert Pattinson, one of my favorite songs in the world. So Tyler and me stopped dancing, and he held me close, for I wanted to hear the lyrics, and off the song played.

I should never think
What's in your heart
What's in our home
So I Won't
You'll learn to hate me
But still call me baby
Oh Love
So call me by my name
And save your soul
save your soul
Before you're too far gone
Before nothing can be done
I'll try to decide where
She'll lie in the end
I ain't got no fight in me
In this whole damn world
Tell you to hold off

You choose to hold on
It's the one thing that I've known
Once I put my coat on
I'm coming out of this all wrong
She's standing outside holding me
Saying oh please
I'm in love
I'm in love
Girl save your soul
Go on save your soul
Before it's too far gone
And before nothing can be done
'Cause without me
You got it all
So hold on
Without me you got it all
So hold on
Without me you got it all
Without me you got it all
So hold on
Without me you got it all
So hold on
Without me you got it all
So hold on
Hold on “

It had to be the most beautiful song in the world.

I looked back at Tyler, who must have been looking at me the entire time.

“I’m sorry.”  I said to him.

“Why?”

“Well, I feel bad for making you wait.” And I did.

“We have forever and a half to care about waiting.” He smiled, I did too.

“We?”

“We.” I looked down and that was it, maybe it was just an instinct, or a stupid thought. But I wasn’t turning it down, I fell hard last time, and I might fall hard again, but that would be in time, and this, this was tonight. I looked back up at him, he was paying me no mind. I slightly slipped my hands free without him noticing, then grabbed his face pulling it towards me. Gently kissing him once, letting him kiss me back. We just held our bodies with each other. It wasn’t like kissing Kellan, when I had to worry if I’d live to see tomorrow. Tyler walked off with me towards the karaoke stand and we stood in the darkness.

He kissed me one, twice, then stopped, I thought I did something wrong.  Then he growled furiously pulling me behind him, placing himself in a protective stance, as four emerged from the darkness. Suddenly, I noticed, that our friends were near us two. Except Sheena and Mark, they were probably protecting Lexi. What was going on? And why were those people, emerging towards us, and Tyler ready to kill?
