When You Still Loved Me.

When You Still Loved Me.

A Poem by Stephanie Jones
"

Basically I wrote this song about a guy. And, it's about me and him, and how no matter what I do, I keep remembering back to these days, when we still loved each other. Please don't steal. Comments are very appreciated though.

"

The rain is hitting the window
And it sounds like bullets through my heart
I remember the times we laughed,
The times we cried
And you were always right there
By my side

We were dancing in the rain
In the middle of the road
With the streetlight shining
On you and me
We would run around until
The break of dawn
Sneak in te house shivering
That was when you still loved me.

Like I told you I'm an actress
Good at hiding the pain
Even when I'm wearing it on my sleeve
But I think that even I
Might just break
My smile's fading away

We were dancing in the rain
In the middle of the road
With the streetlight shining
On you and me
We would run around until
The break of dawn
Sneak in te house shivering
That was when you still loved me.

I can't stand this. i hate you.
i hate you. i hate you. i hate you.
EVERYTHING you did pushed me over the edge,
And right when i thought you were going to catch me,
you watched me break every bone.
i love you but you'll never know

I've decided to put my
Best foot forward
Out a smile on my face
But just remember
All the tears the I cried
For you and me.

So yeah, I know you're not my prince
And I know I'm not a princess
And my fairytale ending never came true
But I just want you to know

I remember we were
Dancing in the rain
In the middle of the road
With the streetlight shining
On you and me
We would run around until
The break of dawn
Sneak in the house shivering
That was when you still loved me.

That was when you still loved me.
That was when you still
Loved
Me.

Author's Note

Stephanie Jones
focus primarily on the lyrics, and see if they catch your attention. As a writer I always prefer making sure the lyrics have a true meaning instead of something like, "You're a Womanizer."
