Cliche 35

Cliche 35

A Poem by Steven Fleissner
"

acoustic song

"
Times I try to see
Rearview mirror
Just what made me me
So much clearer than it appeared
Here I am on bended knee

He was young
He sang about a woman
River called Memory
She was gentle on his mind
Don't know I knew the kind

Today I see beyond
The winds of change
Readin' writing on a wall
In for the long haul
Around to the last call

He was young
He sang about a woman
River called Memory
She was gentle on his mind
We finally find it's all behind

I see you smile
It all melts away
Know it sounds cliche
Someone needs to say
Happily ever after

He sang about a woman
And a river called Memory
She was gentle on his mind
Finally find it's all behind
Finally gentle on my mind
