Brandi

Brandi

A Poem by ALiteRead

Brandi a drink
that is hard to take
she also is harsh
just like her name sake

been hurt still hurting
she lashes out
and with a whisper
she tries to cry out

not knowing the answers
not willing to listen
with pleas of confusion
she gives us a mission

with words too many
and thoughts too few
she has me pissed off
I think others are too

I have no answers
I don't feel her pain
but I know for her
it is real just the same

inadequate am I
she just brings me down
and since I can't help
I think I'll go now

Have encountered such Brandi--wearing a different label, of course.
Nicely done, Ali.
