53 degrees

53 degrees

A Poem by stimey

just a hitch up from texas,
south-central kansas
routine
is slipping one day
from the edges of the next,
from the bottom of the deck..

idle hands tin-manned
by no one in particular;

guy by the stop sign
standing in a weed patch,
staring at the 4th floor,
imagining it higher,
'cause he has to.

You're always doing this to me, Stimey! Just when I have all my images in order and am confident I'm seeing what you describe, you go and change the scene and give me a finish like a pop quiz. The problem is that I love it and send you my biggest kudos on this one.
