Places we can find ourselves!

Drugs

Alcohol

Adultery

Abuse

These are roads to DESTRUCTION.

Some people turn left, others go right,

but many people never find there way out!

 

Despair

Desperation

Loneliness

Depression

These are roads to SADNESS.

Obstacles  are placed in our way.

Many people turn around, others keep going

in hope of finding themselves!

 

Joy

Hope

Love

Togetherness

These are roads to Happiness.

Most people finds  these roads,

but can loose their way if they don't

hang on to the directions!

 

Wealth

Marriage

Family

Everything

These are roads to SUCCESS.

Everyone wants to travel these roads,

we hunger for them.

Maybe we'll be one of the lucy ones

to travel them.

This can relate to so many people because most of us travel at least 2 of these roads! We all learn from our mistakes and go from the bad roads full of cold and darkness up to the good roads full of sunshine and happiness.
I love how you asked the question at the end to make the reader think even more beyond the poem about what roads they have traveled.
