What I Am

For the creative poetry group. We had to write about ourselves.

I'm a genteel person,

living in submissive dreams.

Voices so acute and real,

telling me who I am,

or who I should be.

A tender heart

and an optimistic mind

helps me to succeed.

Joyful soul mixed with

a soft sensitive side

keeps me pushing on.

I feel like this could have gone further, the ending comes quick and leaves the writer looking for more. But I like it. Kudos on describing yourself, I know I have a difficult time trying to describe myself.

This sounds very much like a personal ad on craigslist and maybe perhaps you could sell some of these poems to some of the singles out there. Very much like Hallmark but, something new; Maybe a good business idea to make millions I hope. :)
