Another poem inspired by Sting but rather relevant at the time.... :)

Be still my beating heart

As the one much loved draws near

Stop your wild unruly rhythm

As at last he’s here

 

Be still my beating heart

Do not betray your dreams

Lock away your wild emotions

Hold on to self-esteem

 

Be still my beating heart

Can’t let go just yet

Stay away from foolish meetings

Draw away with much regret

 

Be still my beating heart

Your time will come some day

Unlocked and cherished by your owner

No longer kept at bay
