Outside is strange and mystical

A place of uncertainty in a world full of dreams

Dawn breaks on a shadowy morning

With droplets of dew all agleam

 

Outside is mystery and adventure

Full of battles won by the brave

Night falls on a glittering scene

From the lights of the city of caves

 

Outside is dark and cold

Filled with fear and pain

A storm of clouds on a dreary day

As water falls heavily again

 

Outside is reality and a new day

Glory shines as one passes by

The bright new morning on an ordinary city

Where a dove comes down to lie
