May Again

May Again

A Poem by Summer Grace

Written Nov, 2010

Youth is fleeting and it passes
Love can be short though it's true
Like sand through the hour rushes
Glass and sand time passes

Leaving you wondering what's real
Life can be lonely, reality your fantasy
Your fantasy reality only in your head
While life unfair and unaware drags by

Drags on leaving you wondering where
Time has gone why cannot it be always today,
A spring morning, but May you say
Is always moving on and on into

A sky's that's blue -birds in the trees
In the dim morning is what I hear
And I'm smiling because though
It's December, that's true
In your heart though it's December

May mornings you remember
Until you hear the birds again
Feel the dawn again see the lawn again
Heavy with dew life's a fantasy
In a spring that's fleeting flinging itself
Into what's new-
