hostage

hostage

A Poem by Summer Goldhawk
"

only i am responsible for my actions

"
i'm a hostage in my own mind
drowning in the words that flood
making it hard to focus
hard to breathe
i'm losing hope
hope that i'll get out

i'm a murderer of my own dreams
thoughts of not succeeding pool in
making me quit
give up
i will never be something
be good at anything

i'm a burden on my own heart
losing people i love
making myself hurt
my own heart break
growing weak
not strong

Good use of a theme premise, speech pattern and concrete words!
