Missing you

Blue sky is always true

A hopeful cloud just flying by

The sun is perfectly warm

Just a glimmer in her eyes

 

Only two months have gone by

Since a kiss that never lasted

Till her blue eyes turned to nothing

A rainy sky in late July

 

No longer does she laugh

Like a dreaming child in the night

Giggling under blankets

With a flashlight and a lie

 

The blue is only subtle

Each day it’s a dimmer grey

A song that plays on repeat

But in your head to stay
