Memories

Memories

A Poem by BostonElle

         Our shared memories used to by my favorite
         I could relive each moment together in my mind, vividly
         each second showering me with content, peace; laughs.
         In a single day, you took my contentedness
         and left me stranded,
            You murdered my inner peace;
         You stole my laughs and ran away.
         I had been so comfortable in our cohabited memories
        that I never even fathomed the world surrounding them.
        I harmonized reality with your existence,
        when your infallible existence was hardly a reality.
         Now I'm stuck reliving shared memories
         Reliving each moment in my mind, vividly
         each second showering me with contempt, distress; annihilation.
