Love

I believe a happy timeout is alone...

I am single and so happy,
that's what all say...
I repeat these to myself,
and I am really happy too...

The tree shade is cool to rest
away from the tensions of city life.

I keep staring at the sky
and a leaf falls.
I welcome the autumn with a smile.
but when the another leaf falls,
my attention goes to its branch.

The first leaf fell
and its next one
too fell

I feel the deep love and care
it conveys to me.
I am no more happy.
My thoughts run wild
i close my eyes to find you.

My memories run too fast
to recollect those moments,
those that never got my attention.

I smile...
I no more want to be single,
but I am sure,
I will still be the happiest...

Hello.
The greatest sweetness in life is to love & be loved in return.
You are happy single, but with the falling of the leaves, you realize you don't want to be like the branch...gradually getting barer & barer. This makes you realize you would be happier still enjoying these moments with someone special, someone to comfort you, so you wouldn't be all alone & void like the branch.
This is beautifully written, albeit somewhat sad.
Thanks for sharing.

I don't know if this was the imagery intended but that's how I saw it... You were so happy being single, enjoying life, and sitting under that tree made life more pleasant .. You enjoyed the fallen leaves, but somehow, while looking up at the branch, you realised how leaves were falling from it and leaving it empty, void. And maybe that's why you were 'no more happy', so as not to feel that emptiness. Well, this is my perception, and I really loved this piece. Great description. Lovely.

I can really relate to this. Its strange how we miss moments, and enjoy the single life, but when we look back it really was nice to have someone there. I really enjoy the ending; its so optimistic :). Great poem!!
