Out of Bounds

Out of Bounds

A Poem by Swagato Saha
"

An attempt to distinguish ordinary Stress from Anxiety - Stress while enumerable, Anxiety expresses the undecidable aspect of subjectivity. "The only emotion that doesn't deceive is Anxiety." - Freud

"

Stress greets you in a chamber's trails,
Untrimmed, unmowed for weeks bygone;
The laundry list of things displaced,
By the hour's wait sounds its scorn.

Though not unlike an anchored tree-
Riddles you with its leafy haze,
It takes mere time for one to see,
How the little limbs must fall in place.

Should then the gentle ground collapse?
To swarms of semblant smoke perhaps?
The roots shuffle, the branches wrap!
As a mangled hedge, Anxiety clouds...

While laundry lists to webs entwine,
O'er spaces dense and circled time,
And dead-end folds of parsing minds,
Return but unlabelled scrawls.
